STONEGATE OF ZIONSVILLE BREAKS GROUND ON VILLAGE SHOPPES
First Building Will Showcase Neighborhood’s Character and Commitment to Tradition

ZIONSVILLE, IN (January 19, 2007)-Boasting the charm, character and beauty of timeless architecture, Stonegate of Zionsville has officially broken ground on its Village Shoppes, setting the tone for many features yet to come.

Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood’s Main Street, the Village Shoppes’ debut building will showcase traditional architecture complimentary to Stonegate’s existing Meeting House, Elementary School, and Central Park.

“Designing the first building of the Village Shoppes of Stonegate is an important project, as it sets the character and tone for what’s to come,” said Gary Weaver, Architect/Land Planner at Stonegate of Zionsville. “All of the buildings will have traditional-style storefronts with the details and craftsmanship of the surrounding homes.”

The Village Shoppes’ first building holds significance for Dr. Larry Reitz, Stonegate Developer.

“I grew up living above my father’s pharmacy,” said Dr. Reitz. “Incorporating some of the features from my father’s old store will help re-create Stonegate’s great Main Street of the past.” The Reitz family’s commitment to mix old with new is evident as they welcome a long-time Zionsville restaurant to the neighborhood.

The Carolina Grill, operated by proprietor Chuck Thomas, is slated to open during the 2007 Lifestyle Home-A-Rama this June. The Carolina Grill will be located in the Village Shoppes’ first building, next to the General Store and Stonegate Business Office. The Live/Work building will also include two residential lofts above the storefronts.

With 2,554 square feet in its Stonegate Village Shoppes space, the Carolina Grill will serve as one of the few restaurants in Zionsville with a welcoming family atmosphere. Future options for the restaurant’s lower level space could include a German Rathskellar, with a separate entrance.

“The Carolina Grill will be a comfortable place for families to get together and enjoy good food like their famous tenderloins or barbeque,” said Jasna Reitz, Creative Director for Stonegate. “If you love driving through the neighborhood and enjoy the traditional mix of architecture, the Carolina Grill will be an extension of that experience.”

The Reitz family is pleased to welcome the Carolina Grill and Chuck Thomas to the Stonegate community. Mr. Thomas is a local proprietor known for putting Zionsville’s the Friendly restaurant on the map.

“We anticipate the Carolina Grill’s long-time reputation in Zionsville will attract many, extending Stonegate’s exposure to those whom have not experienced the community first hand,” added Jasna Reitz.
